Day 10 - Eid Countdown Poster (Wipeable)

One of my friends posted a photograph of an Eid Countdown Poster that she made this week. This was the inspiration for me to get the girls to design one too and I just had to fit it in with my 30 Days of Crafts! My daughters' have this in their bedroom and they are taking turns to fill in the box each day. Here is the original photograph belonging to my friend (she is to be known as E.U for my blog purposes) that gave me the inspiration:

Our Instructions:

We found some craft paper and cut it to the size needed for the frame.
You can use either pre-cut letters or your own cut letters or even handwritten letters to write out your message. We chose 'Days until Eid' We hand wrote the words 'Days until' and used some pre-cut letters for the word Eid. We also went over the words 'Days until' in glitter glue and also a couple of stars the same colour for decoration.
Design a box which the space will be used to write the amount of days. We chose a pre-cut green paper frame and placed some white plain paper behind it. The white will make it easier to see the pen when writing daily.
We then placed this inside the frame and displayed it in the Girls bedroom.
Using a wipe board pen the girls can now write in how many days until Eid everyday and just wipe the old one off!
Another option for this poster could be to laminate it and using wipe board pens you can also change the date daily!

Helpful Hints:
You could also design this poster on the computer and print out your design. You could have your children write in the days daily as part of their Ramadan Tasks! I chose white for the part you write the days on - just make sure that the colour you choose will work with your design and the colour of the whiteboard pen that you choose.

Don't Forget that if you have made any of the Ramadan Crafts that I have blogged about, then please send in a photograph and I will publish this on my blog and my Facebook Page! You can send this via email (karimascrafts@gmail.com) or post on my Facebook Page Karimas-Crafts directly.
