Day 9 - Designing Ramadan and Eid Cards
Children love designing cards and what a better excuse than for them to make some for their friends, family and neighbours than Ramadan and Eid!
The Ramadan Card below was made by my 6 year old daughter and I have included a mini tutorial on how she made this one at the bottom of this post.
The photograph below shows a card designed by my 11 year old daughter using old wallpaper border that I bought in a charity/thrift store to use for crafts!
Below is an upclose photograph of part of the wallpaper border. I love the fact she made a hijabi woman out of a drinks bottle!
I personally like to design my cards on the computer using blank cards bought at the local craft shop and then print them off on my printer. Below is the design I used last year:
Children love making their own cards - they can either design something on the computer or just use crayons/pencils on normal blank cards.
Mini Tutorial for the Ramadan Card:
- You need: I sheet of A4 Coloured Card, Yellow Felt/Foam pieces, Stickers, Coloured Pens.
- Fold the Card in Half and Design the front, we used the words 'Ramadan Mubarak'.
- Using a stencil we cut out some Stars and a Moon from the felt.
- Decorate the Card with the felt pieces and any other craft pieces - we used some foam stickers.
Don't Forget that if you have made any of the Ramadan Crafts that I have blogged about, then please send in a photograph and I will publish this on my blog and my Facebook Page! You can send this via email (karimascrafts@gmail.com) or post on my Facebook Page Karimas-Crafts directly.
I LOVE YOUR EID CARDS! MashaAllah! Actually..I love alll your crafts!! MashaAllah!
