Day 8 - Sadaqah Money Box Tutorial
My 2 girls wanted to save some money during Ramadan to give to Charity and they also wanted to save some money towards Celebrating Eid. So they decided to make two money boxes to collect all their money they have saved. They both followed the same tutorial to make these. My youngest made the Eid Party Money box and my eldest daughter made the Sadaqah Box.
Requirements:
- Plastic Bottle (Preferable one with a wide neck to get the money in.)
- Paper (to place onto the bottle
- Pens for decorating the labels
- Glue or double sided tape to attach the label to the bottle.
Instructions:
Remove the original label from the bottle carefully.
Place the label onto a piece of paper and draw around so you have the same sized template.
Design your label with words or pictures etc.
Glue the label back onto the bottle.
Optional: Make a hole in the lid to place the money inside the lid.
Helpful Hints:
It doesn't have to be a plastic bottle, you could design a Sadaqah Money Box from a glass jar or a metal coffee tin too making this a great upcycling project! My girls added ribbons to the neck - you could add any kinds of decoration that you have lying around the house.
We have previously made normal money boxes from these juice bottles in the past - Here is an original photo and the link I blogged about last year:.
