There are so many things that you can do with empty Milk Cartons. Here are a few ideas of things I do personally:
- Cut in half and use as a funnel
- Cut in half and use as storage container
- Use to store used oil to throw away (no oil down the drains!)
- Cut and made into a peg holder on washing line (my friend does this!)
- Store powdered foods
- Use as a juice carton (for diluted juice)

Thanks Marie - I just managed to find your new blog today - Your old link doesn't work and I used to use it to get your new link! Luckily after googling your name I found your blog. I have now added it to my bloglist so I don't lose you again!
DeleteI like you idea! Now if I could only get the plants I have to live long enough for watering. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comments. My kids tried to grow some plants outside this year but so much rain nothing has grown - I think they drowned!

Yes this is ideal for the kids - easy for them to hold too!
DeleteI am so glad this worked for you!!! I tried with a gallon jug, using a nail to make large holes and could not get the water to flow without squeezing the bottle flat. Holes, container of water -- what could be wrong???? When I saw your post, I was inspired to try again with the smaller jug and a knife. Same result. :-( I feel so challenged, but I'll keep trying - lol! Thanks for linking on Busy Monday. Hope to see you again.
ReplyDeleteNot sure why it is not working for you :(
DeleteI have done this a few times and has worked fine for me - Maybe it depends on the type of plastic used for the cartons!
This is really a smart idea :) very nice reuse! well done!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you - I really like this re-use idea myself - very handy!
