Desk Tidy Tutorial

desk tidy tutorial

This is a photograph of a desk tidy that me and my daughter made recently. She made one to give as a present for her class teacher. These are so easy to make and you can make them as decorative as you wish. The best news is that they cost next to nothing to make! Here is how I made this particular one:

Items needed:
  • Container (I used an empty Bisto gravy container)
  • Decorative paper/stickers/ribbons/decorative tape/sticky backed plastic(which I used!)

Steps:

Step 1: Clean out container thoroughly
Step 2: Look around for decorative items and cut them out to shape
Step 3: Apply decor to the container
Step 4: Use as a stylish container with the lid or use as a desk organizer without the lid!

These are really so easy to make, my 9 year old makes these without any help at all, just let you imagination wander.  This is a brilliant upcycling project and a great craft project for children to join in with.
