Great Ideas - Magnetic Board from a Baking Tray

magnetic board baking tray great ideas muslim blog

I have seen many magnetic boards on the internet which have been made from baking trays - that I knew I had to make my very own to hang on my Kitchen Wall. This is a great upcycling project.

I already had some black spray paint left over from another project and I already had a spare baking tray so this 'Great Ideas' project didn't cost me any money - brilliant!

If you just need a magnetic board for hanging on the wall or for the children to learn their spelling with (with magnetic letters) then you could even use the baking tray as it is without spraying it!

I wanted it to look good on the kitchen wall so I decided to spray it a nice black colour - you could even decorate it with paper and fabrics which also work well apparently.

    1. waalaikum salam, haha - luckily this one had been gifted to me by my grandmother a while ago and wasn't being used! So hubby is off the hook! (PS: I always call my husband hubby - kids laugh at me - it was nice to see someone else use the word 'hubby')

  7. This is such a fun idea! I wonder if it would work as a chalkboard, too, using black chalkboard paint? I'll have to try and find out!

    1. What a great idea! Not sure if it works but I have heard chalkboard paint can be used for many things so why not! Worth investigating if you are keen!

    2. This really inspired me. I've been using square pencil box lids with my kids when I do spelling. They're far more interested in spelling when they have their own 'board' and magnetic letters. Thanks!
