Felt Key Rings - 30 Days of Ramadan

Day 15 - Felt Key Rings

Felt key rings are a lovely gift to give at Ramadan Time or anytime of year. My girls have made a bunch of them this year. My youngest has already given one away as a gift to our neighbour! I actually bought a pack of the key ring hoops this year but in the past I have simply removed the rings from old key rings like the free promotional ones you sometimes get given!

Requirements:
Felt
Embroidery Thread
Scissors
Optional (Stuffing).
Key Ring hoops
Optional (Fabric paint)

Instructions:
Cut out 2 shapes identical (we did the Moon and Star as our main design.) Place them together.
Then using blanket stitch stich around the 2 pieces of Felt either using matching thread or contrasting thread. (we tried both ways)
Pierce a small hole in the felt so that you can attach the key ring hoop.

Helpful Hints:
You could also make these with just one piece of felt but I don't think it would be as strong.
You could also add some stuffing inside to make it more chunky.

Don't Forget that if you have made any of the Ramadan Crafts that I have blogged about, then please send in a photograph and I will publish this on my blog and my Facebook Page! You can send this via email (karimascrafts@gmail.com) or post on my Facebook Page Karimas-Crafts directly.
