Personalised Cushion Cover Tutorial

Personalised Cushion Covers are a great idea for gifts, this is one I made recently for a friend of the family. Below are some photos of the process of making this.

Steps for Name:

  • Print off the name using fonts from the computer, use these as templates to draw around on your chosen fabric. (mine was dark pink) Cut out your letters.
  • Roughly decide where the letters will be evenly placed on the cushion, then mark the cushion fabric (mine was pink polka dots) where you want the letters to be.
  • Pin the cut out letters to the fabric.
  • Sew the letters onto the cushion fabric. I hand sewed, using a sewing hoop but you can also use the sewing machine.

If using the envelope tutorial for the cushion, you need to work out where the front cover will be on the fabric to add the letters, I find it easier to iron folds on the fabric where it will be folded/sewed so that you can centre the letters!
